Only 2lb higher than when landing a fair quality contest at Epsom in April, but has to prove that wasn't just a fluke following his recent performances.
Made the most of a recent drop in class to score at Bath last time out, and though the race panned out well for him that day he was a worthy winner and is now raised 5lb. Has previously won off a higher mark than this so has to be considered.
Has been running to a similar level as his younger days since returning from a prolonged absence from the track. Has had some excuses in running the last twice though and could have more to offer now for some top connections.
No win on the turf since July 2013 and frequent changing of yards recently doesn't seem to have helped him much on the track.
Drops in trip here but is just as effective over this distance compared to 6f, and being only 4lb higher when winning well two starts ago means he is entitled to make another bold bid here.
Relatively frequent winner for a handicapper (total strike-rate of above 25%), but looks handicapped to his best for the moment, despite the fact his apprentice rider's claim will help with that.
Effective at a lower level than this but seems out of his depth in this company, especially up against some talented, progressive young sprinters.

Atletico (8/11), Pettochside (7/1), Secondo (7/1), Intibaah (15/2), Majestic Hero (8/1), Union Rose (10/1), Sandfrankskipsgo (10/1), Moonraker (10/1), The Big Lad (16/1), Wiley Post (25/1)
Having returned from a long absence recently with no obvious ill-effects, ATLETICO has had excuses on his two runs back, and even without taking those into consideration has run well on each occasion. He seems to be on a workable handicap mark and in what looks to be a slightly easier race than his assignment at Ascot last time out, he is fancied to get his head in front here. C&D winner Sandfrankskipsgo and Union Rose, who has won better races than this in the past, are others to consider.
