Has looked in good form this year and carrying on the foundations that she set last year (won three times) and has already won at Lingfield over 6f on the AW. Even in defeat last time she probably showed even better form (made a big move into contention) and only going down narrowly to another improving sort.

One of three C&D winners in the race who comes from yard that are having another good season. He's run respectably this season without looking like winning but has slipped below his last winning mark and the sort who can make his presence felt here.

Took an age to get off the mark but the elusive win finally came over C&D last month when the first-time visor appeared to have a galvanising effect. That race certainly looked weaker than this one and he has to cope with a harsh 8lb rise for that win and given that impost others are preferred here.

A dual winner as two-year-old he went missing after the second of those victories and not seen until she made her handicap debut in April again on the AW over 6f showing potential. Certainly showed plenty more promise since then in handicaps without winning although she lacked her usual zest last time out but could well bounce back here.

Very much the unexposed one in the field having only had three previous runs winning his second start on the AW in December. Given a break and shaped very nicely on his reappearance/handicap debut at Leicester over 6f and could well show some further progress here off a 1lb higher mark.

A Southwell winner in May he showed even better form to win on turf on his penultimate start at York off a 2lb lower mark. Failed to back that run up though at Doncaster having attracted support and needs to bounce back here faced with a couple of improving types.

Twice a winner on the AW last year once over 6f for Martyn Meade he's shown very little for his current connections despite a falling mark. Continued to look out of sorts last time out and probably best watched here given his recent efforts.

Forecasts

Stanhope (11/4), Interlink (3/1), Cool Bahamian (4/1), Ventura Blues (4/1), Curious Fox (11/2), Tricky Dicky (11/2), Fivetwoeight (6/1), Highly Sprung (12/1), Consulting (33/1)

Verdict

Not hard to find plenty of different options here with a few that are capable of building on their form shown so far this year. Fivetwoeight is one to pop on the progressive list here along with Ventura Blues although that one has to bounce back from a lack-lustre run last time out. It won’t be a surprise to see Interlink show some better form for this yard once they find the key to him but on this occasion CURIOUS FOX may well have the measure of these having shown some very strong form this year and is taken to take another step forward here.
