Only moderate on the Flat, but came good at the first time over hurdles when winning at Towcester in May. Not so good since, however, and easily brushed aside at Stratford latest. Chances again in a weak event, but not one for maximum faith in.
Looked like having a future when fourth in a decent event at Taunton last time, and might have won but for a poor jump two out here in June, losing all momentum. Jumping again became an issue at Perth late on final start, and it needs tidying up, but ability clearly there and every chance of success if doing so.
Winner of two Irish point-to-points in April and has ability, hurdles and chase winners in the family but may need a bit of time to adjust and looks one more for handicaps down the line.
Hasn't really shown enough in four bumpers to date to think she's up to taking a hand in this, although has shown a modicum of ability and may pick something up down the line. This though, barring accidents to the principals, looks out of her reach.
Forecasts
Blue Comet (8/11), Mister Showman (9/4), Pop The Champers (9/2), Ebony Rose (25/1)
This looks a bit of a match on paper, and if BLUE COMET sorts his feet out a bit he can have the legs of his main rival Mister Showman. Both should have more to offer and Blue Comet has the size and shape to make a nice chaser in the future. Pop The Champers can take third.
