All three of his wins have been over 6f and on good ground, the latest when he landed a valuable Meydan conditions race in March. Not beaten far in the Group One Al Quoz Sprint and the Group Three Criterion Stakes (7f, good to soft) since then, while he was only just held in Listed company last time. Probably best on good or slower ground. Claims.
Won last year's Listed European Free Handicap over this trip (good to soft) at Newmarket and his 3L fourth to Ribchester nest time in the Group Three Jersey Stakes looks pretty good form now. Not quite at that level on both starts since, but not one to write off yet, though will need to eek out more if he is to win this. Acts on good to firm.
Very much a specialist at this trip, with all six of his career wins being over it, one on good and the rest when there has been cut in the ground. Dual Listed scorer (including here), so has a touch of class, though perhaps not quite enough to see him home in front here without a return to his 2015 form.

Forecasts
Jungle Cat (8/13), Ibn Malik (7/4), Crazy Horse (10/3), Kool Kompany (9/2), That Is The Spirit (8/1), Start Time (10/1), Lavetta (25/1)
Although he has yet to win over this far, JUNGLE CAT looks the most solid option going into this. Ideally he wants a bit of rain to help him, but that is forecast, and he has only just been held twice over this far. He looks to have better credentials than most. Kool Kompany should be better for the drop back to this trip and he won't mind what the conditions are, so should be very competitive, while Crazy Horse could be the fly in the ointment if being gelded helps him return to his progressive form of last year. Ibn Malik and That Is The Spirit are likely to be next in the pecking order.
