Far from disgraced when beaten 3¼L by Dante winner Permian in the Group Two King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot, taking another step forward and looks the one to beat.

Needs to improve further but very interesting.

This looks a bit better than your average renewal and that has something to do with the presence of CALL TO MIND, whose form behind Permian at Royal Ascot is the best on offer here and he is taken to score for Her Majesty The Queen. Defoe looks very much a progressive type and presents a danger to the selection, while Twin Star is the most interesting of the remainder. Further progress from Fierce Impact is not ruled out now back down in trip.
