Likely to try and make all as was the case when winning a 2m4f maiden hurdle by 11L at Tipperary a couple of weeks ago. Has placed form in the book over this trip and conditions are fine. Stable also saddles Royal Hawk, but this looks to be the number one pick on jockey bookings.

Two rock-solid efforts in bumpers before getting off the mark (C&D) at the first time of asking over hurdles. Very useful recruit that has plenty more to offer. Up in grade, but has to be considered as a leading contender.

Royal Hawk14

Justified odds-on favouritism to make winning start for the champion trainer at Cork (2m, good) in May after arriving from France, but was soon outpaced by the winner Twobeelucky when bidding to follow up at Bellewstown earlier in the month. Stable also saddles Timi Roll, which looks their number one pick on jockey bookings.

Has won a Point-to-Point and a Beginners' Chase at Sligo (2m1f+ Heavy), but has raced over further lately (hurdles) and looks to face a tough task against these rivals at mainly level weights.

Le Richebourg (8/13), Timi Roli (9/4), Royal Hawk (7/1), Lambs Lane (20/1), Vinnie Luck (40/1)

Verdict

In a five runner novice hurdle which features a couple of Willie Mullins trained runners, you'd seldom be keen to put up another horse as the selection, but this is one of those rare opportunities to do so. LE RICHEBOURG has done everything asked of him in three career starts to date including when hacking up by 12L on hurdles debut over C&D (maiden). Whilst this race is a step up in class, similar comments apply to both the slightly more experienced Mullins trained pair of Timi Roll and Royal Hawk, of which the former named looks the most obvious forecast pick on jockey bookings.
  1. Le Richebourg
  2. Timi Roli
  3. Royal Hawk
