Rear division finishes in three starts in maidens, but looks a potential improver now switched to handicaps. Showed the speed for this trip over 1m here in June, so interesting to see how he fares.
Related to winners including Shyron who has won seven races for the yard, but hasn't looked an obvious winner in waiting in three spins in maidens (twice at this track). Makes his handicap debut.
Made it fifth time lucky when a ready winner of a low grade 6f Tapeta handicap at Wolverhampton in early June, but has translated that improvement back to turf since and looks one of the likelier types in this contest despite the rise.
Her sole career success in 16 starts came over C&D from a 3lb lower mark in June, and whilst beaten twice since, she's reunited with that jockey tonight. Exposed, but you couldn't rule her out in such a moderate contest.
Five race maiden who clearly isn't any great shakes, but has some reasonable enough form in the book in 6f handicaps on Tapeta. No reason why this surface should prove problematic and a top rider booked to do the steering who will be ideally suited to his hold up style of racing.
Nine race maiden who has on the whole proved disappointing most latterly. No obvious reason as to why he should better his run here in mid May unless the market suggests otherwise.
Has limited experience on turf with four of her five career starts coming on synthetics. Off the track since November 2016, eased in the weights and others much preferred.
Six race maiden who showed minor improvement when fourth of ten over C&D to Sadieroseclifford in mid June. Meets that rival on slightly better terms tonight but not enough to reverse placings.
Formerly with Kevin Ryan, but was a runner up for this trainer at Chelmsford in late May (5f) (with Sadieroseclifford third). Not so good since but his last success came over this trip (July 2016) and no reason why not to slap the blinkers on for the first time.
Stablemate of Percy Toplis who produced an unanticipated career best when a well held runner up to Cherry Kool over 5f here last month (soft). In theory, the extra furlong should suit, but the ground will be a question and more broadly was that improved effort merely a flash in the pan?
Scarcely beaten a rival in four starts to date and to that extent her basement handicap mark probably over-estimates her true ability. Little chance.

Quality and potential improvement appear very much in short supply in what can only be fairly described as a dire contest. To that extent, the most obvious contenders are the likes of Iron Lady, Yorkshire Rover and Sadieroseclifford. Of that trio, the William Muir trained runner looks the most 'progressive', and the fact that she is slowly nudging up the weights is probably largely irrelevant in this company. However, these races often produce slightly surprising outcomes, so a sporting chance is taken on the Stuart Williams trained handicap debutant CANADIAN ROYAL.
