Appears to have limited ability and best efforts over hurdles have come over further and on softer ground. Stable are going well and this is a weak race, but she remains one not to take a short price about.

Made all to land a Uttoxeter bumper in May 2016 but well beaten in similar company next time and on first two starts over hurdles. Hood removed but hard to recommend unless the market indicates improvement is likely.

Failed to complete on each of her point-to-point starts and soon gave way on her bumper debut. Makes little appeal at present.

Winner of six Flat races including six AW contests. Ran well on soft ground at Chepstow last month but appeared not to stay on her hurdling debut. Finished last of four that day and is dropped slightly in trip. Needs to jump better too.

9/1
Winning point-to-pointer who produced her first piece of reasonable form over hurdles when second at Newton Abbot last month. That gives connections something to build on and she has place claims.
Placed in four Irish point-to-points but tailed off in modest company on her hurdling debut. Backed as though she was thought capable of better and significantly down in trip.

11/10
Smart stayer on the Flat but her standards dropped over hurdles for David Pipe and successive easier assignments failed to inspire. Turned over at odds of 1/5 in April and has had a run on the Flat this month. Back with her former trainer and, although clearly capable, she is another to have reservations about. Cheekpieces go back on.

Modest on the Flat and her point-to-point victory was in weak company. Has jumped poorly on both starts over hurdles (beaten an aggregate of 117L) and looks hard to recommend as a result.

33/1
AW winner for Marco Botti who has shown little aptitude for jumping in each of her three starts. Return to this trip on quicker ground will help, but she still has a mountain to climb.

Unloved in the market on all starts and has ben well beaten on each occasion. Stable have been doing better lately but still hard to see her being involved.

Forecasts

Taws (11/10), Fit The Brief (7/4), Moontripper (9/1), G For Ginger (10/1), Lady Lunchalot (12/1), Stetsonsnstilettos (25/1), Sahalin (33/1), Dwynant (66/1), Joy At Midnight (66/1), Scotsbrook Night (80/1)

Verdict

FIT THE BRIEF and Taws are the clear form picks but neither are the type to take a short price about at present. FIT THE BRIEF gets the verdict as her rival is forecast to go off as favourite. Her stable are in form and this looks easier than the handicap she contested last time. She appears to lack gears but she may be more natural at this game than Taws. The latter was a 1/5 flop on her last start over hurdles at Sedgefield having promised far more when chasing home Finian's Oscar during the winter. Lady Lunchalot looks the each-way recommendation for those looking to take on the market principals.
  1. Fit The Brief
  2. Taws
  3. Lady Lunchalot
