Appears better on the A/W than turf but did score on good to soft ground at Bath last term over this trip off a similar handicap mark. Hardly shining though at present.
Well beaten last two starts on turf but is arguably fairly handicapped if recapturing best form. Yard in good shape at present so not without hope at this level.
Lightly raced but seemingly regressive daughter of Street Cry. Too early to write her off however as drop back in trip may be in her favour. Has place prospects.
Decent runner-up at Lingfield (turf) on penultimate start and maybe found the drop in trip againts him at Yarmouth last time. Reproduction of LIngfield run would put him very much in contention.
Won Chester 7f maiden last term but has generally failed to sparkle since and has consequently tumbled 12lb in the weights. Beaten out of sight on only start this campaign and has questions to answer.
Hopes lie on step up in distance bringing about some improvement having run moderately most starts since finishing third in LIngfield maiden event last summer. Young rider has been in good form in recent weeks.
Failed to shine in seven outings for Luca Cumani and it's been more of the same for her new connections this year. Appears slightly better on A/W so hard to make a strong case for this daughter of Dansili.
Well related Zoffany filly but has shown precious little in four starts to date, including on handicap bow at Kempton last time. May do better now going handicapping on turf and represents a good yard, so there may still be some hope..
27-race maiden looks up against it once again having shown best form om the A/W tracks. Very difficult to make a real case for and others and easaily preferred.
Stays this trip but looks very one paced and will always be vulnerable to anything with any kind of change of gear. Drop to lowest ever rating may help a little but looks up against it.
No better than 10th in five starts so far in a distinctly moderate career. Connections step him up from 6 to 10f in hope of better luck this time.
Has placed in last three A/W starts and wasn't without
promise on most recent start on grass at Lingfield. One of the more likely types with decent apprentice on board.
Formerly with Jeremy Gask and has first run for new trainer who sends her down from North Yorkshire. Will run off a featherwieght and only a little improvement needed to do better in a very poor race.

It is very difficult to be confident about anything in this lowly apprentice handicap, but PERMANENT has at least shown a little dash in recent starts and might be good enough to land the spoils. Outstanding old-timer Megala has won mroe races than the other 14 horses put together and knows his job, so may yet be in with a shout at this level, while the three-year-old fillies Epsom Secret and Neptune Star have some hope of imporving with light weights to carry. Dr Goodhead is one of the few with potential to do better.

- Megalala
