Winner here on debut three weeks ago, running green to halfway and then really staying on well once the penny dropped to go away inside the final furlong. Extra furlong here won't be a bother and gave the impression of much more to come.
Missed the break and never got in it on his debut at Hamilton last month. Likely to be sharper for that but plenty to find here.
Had clearly learnt plenty from a well-beaten debut effort at Chester when finishing his race off nicely at Redcar last time, and the step up to 7f looks a positive move. Might be one for nurseries after today, however, so best watched on balance.
Good debut effort at Haydock (soft ground) when second to Raydiance, and knew his job that day (quickly away, and led). Didn't quite run to that level at Hamilton last time but still a fair effort and can't be discounted here.
Too keen for his own good on debut at Haydock and pulled his chance away, so will need to settle better if he's to get home over another furlong here, but it's early days yet and he's related to enough winners to think he should win something down the line.
Well beaten on both starts, looking a bit short of pace, but is a half-brother to a mile winner so may be one that just needs a bit of time.
Rock Of Gibraltar colt that will want further than this on breeding, and yard, not really known for churning out 2-y-o winners, are 0-6 here in the past five years. Best watched on debut.
Had little idea what it was all about on his Wetherby debut last month, finishing last, and will need to have come on an awful lot from that to hold any chance here.
Forecasts
French Flyer (5/4), Poet's Prince (2/1), Mountain Approach (7/1), Gabrial The Devil (10/1), Firby (14/1), Grimeford Lane (22/1), Toohottotouch (40/1), Barney George (66/1)
FRENCH FLYER has the penalty to carry but looked a horse with plenty of potential when wining on his debut and he can follow up at the expense of Poet's Prince, who may have to settle for the runner-up spot for the third time. Mountain Approach may do better here too.
- French Flyer
- Poet's Prince
- Mountain Approach
