Has impressed since switching to hurdles, including when running out a 19L winner at Downpatrick last time out (2m3f, good). Drop in trip shouldn't be an issue and should run another big race.

Won easily at Tipperary last time, turning over an odds-on favourite in the process. This could prove more difficult given the form her rivals bring to the race, though it is notable that she makes her first appearance for Willie Mullins.

Form is something of a mixed bag so far but she showed enough to win at Thurles in March (2m, soft), and may appreciate the switch to a small field novice event having not shown her best in handicap company the last twice (including a fall last time).

Strike Is Back23

12/1
Ran well in maiden company before finally getting off the mark in March, but hasn't been able to genuinely build on that since, despite running some fair races. Chase debut last time was a poor performance and she needs to put that behind her now given a more suitable assignment.

Winner at Clonmel two starts ago but couldn't get involved in a similar contest to this at Downpatrick last month, and needs to improve her jumping before being considered a genuine contender for such a race.

Forecasts

Tay Lane (1/1), Arbor Des Champs (2/1), Penny Jane (5/2), Dawn In The Park (6/1), La Bella Vida (8/1), Strike Is Back (12/1)

Verdict

Some mares in good form come into this contest, and it could revolve around ARBOR DES CHAMPS and Tay Lane. The second-named needs respecting given she has recently been moved to the care of Willie Mullins, but that aside probably brings the inferior form of the pair to the table, with Emmet Mullins' charge impressing since switching from bumpers to hurdles, especially when winning with ease at Downpatrick last time despite racing keenly in the early stages. Penny Jane only made her debut in March but has already won three times, including twice over hurdles, and so is another to consider.
