Claimer ridden for all his bumper starts in which his form figures read 213 and the form is clearly quite useful with the win coming at Musselburgh in February. Now ridden by a fully-fledged rider for the first time and an interesting recruit to hurdling making his debut here.
Only showed poor form in bumpers (had three attempts) and didn't show anything more when well beaten on his hurdles debut over C&D beaten 37L. Hard to make much of a case for him here.
His Flat form was useful (rated 95) although he only won once on his debut over 7f as a juvenile and highly tried after that in Group and Listed contests. Looked amiss when last seen in the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes in April 2016 but an interesting contender making his debut here over hurdles.
Looks to have a fairly stiff task on her hands here having won an Irish point-to-point but did shape quite well under considerate handling on her hurdles debut and one to do better in time.
Has shown some fair form in bumpers with the Kelso second on her last start the best effort of her four so far. Makes her hurdles debut here and may just need this experience and could well be of interest in the future.

Forecasts
Ballyvic Boru (4/7), Play The Game (10/3), Thahab Ifraj (5/1), Sense Of Urgency (7/1), Devito'sgoldengirl (12/1), Dance Rock (25/1), Barney's Caulker (50/1)
This is quite a decent race of its type for the time of the year and the ex-decent Flat performer Play The Game has to be of interest given the rating he achieved in that sphere but he does have to overcome an absence here and that may hand the advantage to BALLYVIC BORU. He also makes his hurdles debut having shown some useful bumper form and Tom Scudamore takes the ride for the first time. Thahab Ifraj comes into the equation but may be better off in handicaps with Dance Rock and Sense Of Urgency worth watching for the future.
