From a yard that does well here (5/14 so far this year) this one has successfully mixed chasing and hurdling of late and does have a hurdles win over a staying trip to his name last April. Had a rather in-and-out season but made use of his lower chase mark to win at Bangor last time although he still made some errors. Up 4lb for that win he'll need to tidy up his jumping but has won off higher marks over hurdles in the past.

Rather frustrating sort who has flattered only to deceive on his last three starts over hurdles all at Hexham and isn't really to be trusted. Returned to fences he's yet to win in this sphere either and often runs the same way that he does over hurdles - travelling well and then find little when asked and not to be trusted at all.

Trainer has a good record here overall and this season with his last four runners at the track going 1211. Has run here well before off a higher mark before disappointing in two subsequent races when quite well fancied and leading as usual but did manage to arrest that slide last time out in a three-runner Warwick handicap. Led and did too much too soon on that occasion and the handicapper has eased him 5lb but still hard to know what to expect based on that run.

You have to go back to 2014 for her only hurdles win although her overall form in that sphere suggests that he's quite well weighted over fences. Still to win over fences but her third here last time over shorter was better than it looks on paper (basically given too much to do) and whilst not having the strongest profile isn't easily written off for this leading yard here.

A dual winner over hurdles here off a similar mark to the one that he runs off today on his third start over fences having shaped relatively well in his previous two starts. Only beaten narrowly albeit in a lower grade than this last time he looks to have a chance here off a 3lb higher mark.

Good run of form over hurdles came to an abrupt end after the win at Sedgefield in October last year. Two recent chase runs haven't seen much of an upturn and she can often give trouble at the start and is probably best watched here.

A maiden over hurdles and fences his last three runs over fences have been respectable but no more and he looks to face a tough task here.

Really isn't one to be interested in especially as he remains a maiden in all spheres and can often looks reluctant to start and is 21lb out of the handicap here.

Forecasts

Iora Glas (3/1), Florida Calling (7/2), Urtheoneiwant (4/1), Johnny Go (11/2), Leading Score (13/2), Hawkhurst (12/1), Wyfield Rose (18/1), Jackofhearts (50/1)

Verdict

There are few strong profiles in this and it may not take much winning with Iora Glas having a good chance of following up his Bangor win but he does make mistakes and they can add up in a race. Both Hawkhurst and Wyfield Rose are hard to trust while it’s still hard to know what to expect from Florida Calling. Johnny Go can be given a chance and may well build on his second last time out but over this longer trip one last chance is given to URTHEONEIWANT. She has still to win over fences and isn’t s serial winner but a longer trip may well suit and from a yard that are always to be respected here is given one last chance.
  1. Urtheoneiwant
  2. Iora Glas
  3. Johnny Go
