Full sister to Churchill who ran well on debut at the Curragh before a respectable run at Royal Ascot. Confirmed that promise by taking a Group 3 back at the Curragh last time and very much the type to build on that effort here. Doesn't appear particularly ground dependent on evidence to date and should go well for a trainer and jockey who won this last year in the same colours.

Dubawi filly out of Barshiba and a half-sister to Juddmonte International winner Arabian Queen. Beautifully bred and built on debut promise with a runner-up effort at Kempton last time. Should come on again for that run but may want a little further than this given time.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Barry McHugh| T: R A Fahey| OR:  91
25/1
Dark Angel filly who won over the minimum trip on third start at Haydock. Not disgraced at odds of 100/1 at Royal Ascot when finishing seventh of 23 and still seemingly improving. Cost a fair amount as a yearling and likely to carry on progressing; can't be dismissed having proven herself on all types of ground.

Winner at Cork on debut but proved a shade disappointing on a couple of subsequent starts. Did better at the Curragh last time but has a 3½L deficit to turn around with Clemmie and no obvious reason why she will be able to reverse the form on level weights once again.

Bated Breath filly getting better with every start. Improved for the step up in trip at Royal Ascot last time and shaped like she may want even further than this. Had Clemmie in behind that day and while that rival has clearly improved since, there's no reason why this filly won't take another step forward. Proven in both soft and good to firm conditions so must have a solid each-way chance if turning up in the same form again.

Gave September a real run for her money at Royal Ascot in the Chesham Stakes last time and looked like the winner at one stage. Held on gamely for second and she looks a typically tough sort for this yard. Had a hard enough race there and drop back in trip perhaps not the obvious move but likely to give it a good go from the front.

Winner by 3L when odds-on in novices' company at Windsor in May and built on that with an excellent third in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. Shapes like she'll appreciate this step up in trip. Should go well.

Society Rock filly, cost €5,000 as a yearling and purchased for £62,000 at the Breeze-Ups. Winner at Chepstow in soft ground and not disgraced here in Listed company at the start of the month. Needs to step on that form to figure here but won't mind any rain that falls at least.

Forecasts

Clemmie (11/8), Nyaleti (7/4), Out Of The Flames (7/1), Mistress Of Venice (11/1), So Hi Society (14/1), Mamba Noire (20/1), Darkanna (25/1), Chica La Habana (25/1), Cosmopolitan Queen (50/1)

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien trained the winner of this last year and CLEMMIE appears to give him a good chance of landing back to back renewals of the race. She is still improving and she's taken to reverse the form with Mistress Of Venice who finished ahead of her at Royal Ascot. The former won a Group 3 at the Curragh last time out and while she may enjoy a step up in trip given time, she looks up to taking this contest. Nyaleti is another who may want further than this but she ought to give it a good go from the front and can't be ruled out provided her jockey gets the fractions right on the front end.
  1. Clemmie
  2. Mistress Of Venice
  3. Nyaleti
