Unreliable sort who often flatters to deceive and is often placed and that sort of run has been underlined several times this year including in his last run. Steps up in trip here and given her overall profile others are preferred.
Looks to be below form this year in both Flat starts (also placed over hurdles) and only really plugged on at the finish last time. Yet to win in either sphere and while he may appreciate this better surface it would have been nice to have seen more this year.
Won three races in France when with John Hammond the furthest over this trip and looks as though he's retained his ability in his two starts for this yard in Chepstow 1m4f handicaps. Certainly capable of better in the past and looks quite nicely handicapped off this mark given he looks to have retained his ability.
Has only shown modest form so far and has still to win a race although he has been knocking on the door of late. Did well last time out over this trip at Beverley off this mark having been up with a strong pace all the way and may be capable of better here.
It's been a long time between drinks and he was last successful when scoring back-to-back wins in 2014. Has been running creditably of late without winning and only looks fairly treated and no more.
Makes his handicap debut here after having just three starts in maidens with the cheekpieces going on for the first time. Very slow away last time and won't want to get too far back here on a track that favours speed.
Very lightly raced since winning at Ripon in 2014 but attracted very good support last time out returning from a near 2 year absence. Looked as though he retained all his ability and certainly worth watching in the market here off this mark.
Like many from this stable her form has a rather undulating look to it with a seasonal reappearance second over 1m6f here being her best effort. Since then her three runs all over further have been disappointing and that rather underlines her profile.
Just a modest handicapper who gained his just desserts for winning last time at Redcar beating Percy Verence off a basement mark and finally winning a race. More patently ridden that usual (tactics that appeared to suit) but does have a bit more to do here.
Forecasts
Traditional Dancer (4/1), Miskin (4/1), Manomine (5/1), Percy Verence (5/1), Picture Painter (8/1), Adrakhan (17/2), Tropical Bachelor (10/1), New Abbey Angel (12/1), Schmooze (25/1)
Quite an interesting handicap to end the card with Adrakhan and Percy Verence renewing their rivalry from Redcar with the latter having run well again since. Manomine should be capable of running a decent race while Tropical Bachelor looked as though he still had ability on his return last time out. MISKIN has already run two sound races for this yard and looks well handicapped on his old French form and he looks to be the pick of the runners here.
- Miskin
- Tropical Bachelor
- Percy Verence
