Didn't have to improve in winning Rated contest at Tipperary (1m1f, good) last time out, nice filly but will likely be forced to step up again on that effort if hoping for follow-up.

Good effort last month in Rated contest over C&D and the brother of Zenyatta could prove up to winning this, with likely firmer ground set to be a help.

One win from six starts on the Flat, came over 1m5f at Galway in July, fit from pair of maiden hurdle runs recently at Punchestown and Tramore. Could easily be competitive from this mark.

Best performance to date came in winning Roscommon handicap (1m2f, good) from a mark of 76 in August. Found things tougher afterwards and is returning from 244-day layoff now but is slipping down weights again.

Back on the Flat with fair run at Ballinrobe late last month when third of nine (beaten 5½L) over 1m5f on yielding to soft ground. Career-best effort called for to land this.

Comfortably held over C&D last month on seasonal bow and no real improvement over shorter trip since at the Curragh. Has won from 5lb higher mark in the past however so not one to immediately discount.

Forecasts

Creeping Ivy (3/1), Cirin Toinne (7/2), Tarazani (9/2), De Coronado (9/2), Jan Van Eyck (5/1), Tara Dylan (7/1)

Verdict

DE CORONADO ran an improved race here over 1m2f last time having been stepped up in distance and he can come forward again now for this further test of stamina to get off the mark at the four time of asking on turf. The brother of Zenyatta should have no worries seeing out this trip. Cirin Toinne, winner at Tipperary last time out, should also go well and despite giving away weight will ensure the selection remains honest. Creeping Ivy and Tarazani nicely handicapped with Smullen booked, complete the shortlist.
  1. De Coronado
  2. Cirin Toinne
  3. Tarazani
