Put in a much improved run at Tramore, picked off in the shadows of the post after looking the likely winner, before second of eight, beaten ½L behind Bell Of The Ball, here on good ground.
Finished runner-up at Roscommon, behind Bective Cave here on his penultimate outing. Rated 3lb higher than when second at Downpatrick and disappointing at Roscommon last day over 2m½f.
Still a maiden after 16 starts across both codes. Shaped with a little more encouragement at Wexford, not beaten all that far and possibly enjoying the quicker ground, but bombed last day in Gowran Park handicap hurdle over 2m on good to firm.
Keeping on well close home and showing improvement for the switch to handicaps when fourth to Swift at Listowel in early June, before well beaten after fading two out, as she made her challenge, finishing a disappointing 15th of 20.
One from eight over hurdles and well beaten and no impression in Punchestown handicap hurdle over 2m on good ground in October 2016.
Successful from a 2lb lower mark over 2m (good) at Gowran in September, and also went well at Clonmel the following month. His form dipped a fraction over the winter, but showed signs he was on the way back at Gowran when fourth of 16 last month and improved again when second of 14 at Wexford last week.
Started at long odds on three of her hurdles starts and was beaten a long way in each of them, before another heavy defeat last day at Bellewstown when seventh of 16 beaten 31L.
Just one win in 19 starts and finished well beaten on all three of her starts this time. Slipped back below her last winning mark at least.
28 race maiden who was never troubling the leaders when fourth of 14 to Ashjan at Downpatrick (2m1f+) in mid June, before ninth of 14, beaten 32L last day and best watched.
Nought from five over hurdles beaten a total of 145L in the three contests he has finished in.
Forecasts
Omega Springs (3/1), Shek O Lad (7/2), Pat's Pearl (7/2), Wiiphania (7/1), Aurora's Dream (7/1), She's A Survivor (12/1), Canova (14/1), Charms Bracelet (20/1), King Of Aran (22/1), Alessian Order (33/1)
Tricky contest where the pace may be a little muddling, with possible, SHEK O LAD attempting to make all from the front. Omega Springs, improved on previous start when second of 14 at Wexford last week, is not out of it, while Auror'a Dream, could grab a place.
- Shek O Lad
