4/5
Has really found his stride over hurdles now, winning last two and making all at Stratford to turn over the odds-on favourite. Penalties to carry here make life hard, and probably needs rain to stay away, but likely to run his race again.

5/4
Better known as a chaser, but has been found a good opportunity here, getting 10lb from Comanche Chieftain and young rising star jockey takes another 10lb off. Wouldn't want the rain but that aside, holds a great chance at the weights.

16/1
Rated in the high seventies on the Flat, but hard to win with and two efforts over hurdles haven't pulled up any trees. Better at Hexham last time but still plenty to find on that, and likely to be playing for places.

33/1
Point-to-point winner that's shown little over hurdles so far, and needs this for a handicap mark where he may be of more interest.
Yet to beat a horse in either of his two hurdles starts (or three Flat starts, for that matter) and although in good hands, can't be entertained here.

Forecasts

Comanche Chieftain (4/5), Forever My Friend (5/4), Magnum (16/1), Bridane Rebel (33/1), Morning Sequel (100/1)

Verdict

Comanche Chieftain will make a bold bid from the front here but Peter Bowen has found a good opportunity at the weights for FOREVER MY FRIEND, who might be able to pick him off late in the day. Both could ideally do with the rain staying away (some is forecast) but as long as the ground isn't too bad, the Bowen inmate can take the spoils. Magnum may be best of the rest.
  1. Forever My Friend
  2. Comanche Chieftain
  3. Magnum
