Likes it here (2 wins from 3 starts) and quick ground suits, so has his plus points, and still on a fair mark on the best of his form. Easy winner over C&D two starts ago and a repeat of that must see him on the premises again.
Paying for a series of consistent runs as the handicapper is cutting him little slack, had no chance against easy winner Fort Worth over slightly further here a fortnight ago but again ran well to a point, and drop back in trip may help.
Unseated rider at Perth last week when still in with every chance of winning, and quick reappearance suggests he's none the worse for it, but all best form comes over shorter and he has questions to answer regarding the trip.
Carried on this year where he left off last year, in winning fashion, scoring with plenty in hand at Fontwell in early June. May not want the ground too quick but clearly on the upgrade, and if handling likely quicker conditions here, looks a player.
Reliable veteran that runs his race more often that not, took advantage of leaders going off too quickly to score at Southwell in April and mainly solid efforts since. Mark fine, and no reason to think he can't pick up some more place money here.
Often placed but hard to win with, went close at Newton abbot in April but below that form since, and change of headgear did little last time out. Likely conditions fine, but others easily preferred for win purposes.
Forecasts
Wadswick Court (6/4), Sonneofpresenting (9/4), One Term (5/1), Chestnut Ben (8/1), Owen Na View (16/1), Irish Thistle (22/1)
SONNEOFPRESENTING would appreciate a drop of rain between now and racetime, but he's the most progressive one here by some chalk and if getting it, can continue that progress. One Term's excellent record here entitles him to plenty of respect and can take second. The ever-popular veteran Chestnut Ben and Wadswick Court can fight out the monor money.
