By Lavirco, closely related to Roi Du Mee, So Young and Mikael d'Haguenet. Yard 27% strike-rate in last 14 days.
Formerly with Mary O'Connor and failed to finish her two PTP starts. Yard and racecourse debut with first time hood.
Much improved when third at Tramore in April, but failed to build on that when mid-field at Cork, encouraging third of 18, but subsequently disappointing, beaten 157L last day in Clonmel bumper.
Beaten 8L into second in a maiden at Dromahane (good) last month and stepped up on that when beaten 4L into fourth in a point-to-point bumper at Cork over 2m, subsequently failed to finish at Tipperary and in a PTP in June.
A winner between the flags but was beaten out of sight on her Bumper debut and followed that with a poor run over hurdles, before failing to finish in Kilbeggan hurdle last month.
Failed to beat any of her 14 rivals home at Punchestown in February on racecourse bow, before no impression and well beaten last day in Down Royal bumper when 13th of 16.
Beaten 59L in a 2m Fairyhouse bumper on testing ground in December on debut and beaten a further 54L last day at Clonmel.
Strong PTP form, by Scorpion out of a Be My Native, closely related to Might Bite and will be interesting to monitor progress.
No encouragement in three PTP starts, pulled up on her last two starts. Closely related to formerly John Ferguson-trained Ittirad.
By King's Theatre out of a Bob Back mare so nothing wrong with her pedigree. Mare ran a fine race on debut at Kilbeggan when 3L fifth of 14 over 2m3f on good ground, before third of 17, beaten 24L at Clonmel in June.
By sire, Well Chosen, middle-distance maiden winner out of Nassau Stakes winner Hawajiss; good jumps sire. Another to gauge progress.
Sire, Carlo Bank, tough, smart middle-distance winner, half-brother to Dylan Thomas & Queen's Logic. Filly has been pulled up in both point-to-points so far.
Sire, Gold Well, unraced brother to Montjeu, dual-purpose sire; promising start with few jumpers including Holywell, Johns Spirit and Sausalito Sunrise.
By Scorpion out of a Presenting mare, closely related to Might Bite and will be interesting to monitor progress.
Ran well when finishing 4L fifth of 14 over 2m3f at Limerick (good) on her hurdling debut in May, top jockey booked here.
Oscar filly cost €8,000 as a three-year-old 12 months ago, ran green on debut at Tramore early last month but the penny was dropping in the latter stages and she stayed on strongly to grab second, before second, again at Downpatrick three weeks ago.
First foal by Beneficial, closely related to Cooldine, Realt Dubh and More Of That. Another to gauge progress.
Failed to finish in both PTP's in April and June. Interesting runner for trainer whose yard is in decent form at the moment.
Forecasts
Ainsi Va La Vie (11/8), Osco Mosco (5/2), Kalanisi Repre (4/1), Welmeetintheoffice (10/1), Glebe Girl (12/1), Sorrel Sue (14/1), Sunrise Lady (25/1), Burton Valley (25/1), In A Pinch (33/1), Shramore Lady (33/1), Saoire's Charm (33/1), Sweet Destination (50/1), Vampkat (50/1), Illchanceit (50/1), Feather Your Nest (50/1), Smiling Jessica (66/1), Shesakeeper (66/1), Choice Of Diamonds (66/1)
Obviously all eyes will be on AINSI VA LA VIE and rightly so. Osco Mosco, second at Downpatrick three weeks ago and Sunrise Lady, by Scorpion out of a Be My Native, closely related to Might Bite, can follow the favourite home in the closer.
- Ainsi Va La Vie
- Osco Mosco
- Sunrise Lady
