Pulled up at Cheltenham in the Close Brothers and also very disappointing at Limerick in 3m Grade Three contest since, got as far as the ninth at Tramore latest.
No impression and slight mistake last on first run for a year in Wexford handicap chase last month, beaten 14+L.
Off the mark at the 21st time of asking last time out at Limerick over 2m3f, perhaps fortuitous when chief rival fell two out but might have won regardless, before second of 18, beaten 1¼L to Dark Outsider in a Clonmel handicap chase.
Has shown ability in races over hurdles and fences, securing his opening success when landing a beginners' chase at Wexford, before fourth of 10, beaten 22L in a Killbeggan novice hurdle, may prefer return to chasing.
Winner at Roscommon and Bellewstown over an extended 2m7f and 3m respectively in August last year. Beaten less than 2L into fourth over 3m at Cheltenham in October, before winning a Tipperary chase in May on seasonal debut.
Fifth of eight beaten 22L last day in a Fairyhouse handicap Chase when last seen in December 2016, dropped just 1lb for his disappointing performance.
No more than fair form over hurdles but three previous starts over fences have hinted at ability. Encouraging fourth of 14 in a Roscommon chase on soft ground on seasonal debut last month.
This time last year he recorded back-to-back victories over hurdles at Killarney and has added two wins since, including one on the level at that same venue (2m1f, yielding) in May.
