Victorious over this distance on good-to-firm ground at Chepstow two months ago. Disappointed at Chelmsford last time out and jockey and trainer have a 20% strike-rate (2/10) when teaming up in recent years.

C&D winner on soft ground 12 months ago but well held in three starts this season. Handicap mark is falling as a result and any overnight rain would enhance his chances.

Verdict

PERFECT WORDS ran well when finishing runner-up in a selling handicap last time and can take the concluding event on the card here. The selection took this contest in 2016 off a higher mark and can repeat that success at the chief expense of Roy's Legacy who has won off this mark in the past and also has a C&D victory to his name. Horsforth can put a poor effort on turf last time out behind her by taking third.
