Dual bumper winner (once for Mark Johnston) who was weakening when taking a heavy fall at the last on hurdles debut at Perth early last month. Should have a future on the Flat in handicaps, but this is asking a lot giving weight away to younger horses.
Shown little in the way of ability in junior bumpers in late 2016, and looks well out of her depth on her Flat debut.
Ran well enough when beaten 6¾L into third in a ten runner contest over 1m at Wetherby (soft) when making his debut last month. Likely to appreciate this step up in trip, but others make more appeal.
Once raced brother to France/Italy 6f-1m winner Celtic Filly, and should come on for that race at Windsor (1m2f good) last month. Made good late progress to finish a staying on seventh of ten to Marie Josephe, and well worth a try up in trip on softer ground.
From a family that this trainer knows well (brother to three winners), but drops 2f in trip from his debut fourth of eight over 1m4f at Chepstow last month. Needs to have progressed in order to play a hand for win purposes.
Showed nothing in three starts for Adrian Keatley in Ireland, and fared no better on stable debut at Wolverhampton (1m+) in late May. Up in trip, but impossible to fancy in this grade.
Trainer's runners always command respect at this track, and this gelding looks the form pick based upon what he's demonstrated to date. Got going all too late on the Polytrack at Kempton in May when a closing third to Zubayr, and this stiff finish should suit, with the only slight concern being his ability to handle soft ground.
This trainer's horses tend to improve with racing and this one has a long way to go judged on his Chepstow debut when tailed off last of four. Also declared at Doncaster on Friday, and trainer saddles Amazing Steps.
Could only be described as a shade disappointing when fourth of nine in a Ripon maiden (1m1f+) last month. However, it's feasible she didn't appreciate the undulations of that tricky track and that she's better judged on her excellent debut (nose) second to Mam'Selle at Salisbury in May. Trip and ground should suit and respected given her trainer's strong record in Cumbria.
Not shown all that much ability in either of her two starts last month, but with a quality trainer so it's early days to be writing her off, albeit she shouldn't be good enough to take this maiden contest.
Forecasts
Nadaitak (5/4), Circulation (7/4), Amazing Steps (6/1), Golden Jeffrey (12/1), Cold Shoulder (14/1), Amazing Grazing (16/1), Flowers Will Bloom (20/1), Normandie Attack (40/1), Poppyinthepark (50/1), Mick The Poser (100/1)
NADAITAK was set plenty to do but put in sterling late work on the Polytrack at Kempton in late May when third to Zubayr (runner up since). He's unlikely to be one of the leading lights from this yard, but his trainer tends to do well in maidens at this track and he comfortably has the best form on offer. Whilst having a slight concern about the ground (debut run was on firm), he should have enough ability to see off both Circulation and Amazing Steps.
