Well drawn to go forward and he enhanced his record here last time out gaining his fourth course win in a slightly better class race making it two course wins this year (both over shorter). Never been the most obvious type to follow up though and may find giving weight all round here too tough a task.
The other one in the race who can provide pace into the race he's not really been at his best this year and finished well held off this mark at Carlisle last time. The type who can spring back to form quickly but would look to be a risky betting proposition here.
No win on his CV since September 2015 off a mark of 94 and would not be capable of running anywhere near that mark on current form. He's been on the downgrade since joining this yard and is yet to fire this season.
Was in good form in the closing throes of his two-year-old season and although he wasn't disgraced on his seasonal/handicap debut he didn't look an easy ride. Never really figured last time and probably best watched here.
Twice a winner here last year over shorter she's yet to win again since but does now slip back below that last winning mark. Looked to be running into some form until her last run which produced a very below par effort although her course form makes her worthy of respect in this contest.
She's been kept busy this year and rewarded connections with a win at Wolverhampton in May. Remains in good heart after her latest run against an improver who runs on the Friday card here (Hope Against Hope). Travels well and will benefit from a strong gallop to aim at here and so looks capable off this mark.
Fair form as a juvenile when with Charlie Appleby and looked an interesting prospect for handicaps in the care of this yard. Never really got the run of the race on his handicap debut at Leicester and remains of interest for a yard who excel with this type.
Gradually being tried over reduced trips this year having initially been tried over 1m4f (winner over 1m1f). Has run poorly overall and not well drawn here so easy to pass over.
Losing run now stretched back to December 2014. The handicapper has relented and dropped him in the weights leaving him 3lb out of the handicap and others have far more solid credentials.

Getgo (15/8), Mr Cool Cash (4/1), Arcane Dancer (9/2), Pioneering (5/1), Green Howard (6/1), Talent Scout (7/1), The Dukkerer (7/1), Ingleby Angel (10/1), Sooqaan (11/1), Ellaal (16/1), Swiss Lait (50/1)
A fairly ordinary contest but there is some solid form on offer in this grade in a race that should be run at a decent pace with the likes of Talent Scout and Ellaal in the field. The former is always to be respected around here as is Arcane Dancer who can always bounce back to form at Beverley. Mr Cool Cash looks a consistent sort but he has struggled off this mark in the past and a place is possibly the best he can hope for. The two most interesting runners look to be THE DUKKERER and Pioneering both of whom showed promise last time out. The former will enjoy a strong pace here and gets the nod over the latter who can win a handicap such as this given how he ran on his handicap debut last time out.
- The Dukkerer
- Pioneering
- Mr Cool Cash
