Modest form for Sandra Hughes, but more encouragement on debut for current yard when third to Station Closed in 21f handicap hurdle at Downpatrick last month. Tongue tie refitted now, and one to consider.
Best recent effort when fourth at Downpatrick (17f) in May, but not quite in the same form when filling same spot at Kilbeggan last time, albeit appearing to stay 3m in doing so. Tongue tied now.
Maiden hurdler who wasn't disgraced when sixth in a big field at Punchestown on penultimate start, but failed to see things out when mid-field at Listowel (2½m) last time, and stamina for this trip taken on trust.
From family of very smart hurdler Muirhead, and has shown ability in bumpers and over hurdles around 2m. More needed on handicap bow, but longer trip should help, and booking of Ruby Walsh very much takes the eye.
Winning pointer who remains a maiden under rules, but got closer from reduced mark over fences at Tramore last time. Higher in the weights over hurdles, though, and needs to pull out more to defy current mark.
Winner of a maiden hurdle at Roscommon in 2014, but not seen since mid-field on handicap debut in October of that year, and while eased in the weights for his absence, is probably best watched after such a lengthy lay-off.
Maiden under both codes, but in process of showing improved form in first-time tongue tie on latest start until making a bad error at final flight. One to consider with headgear retained now.
Standout effort last season when 1ÂĽ lengths second of 22 to Pause And Ponder in handicap at Navan (22f) in December, but not repeated that in two subsequent runs, and off since February.
Best form in this sphere when 10Âľ lengths fourth of 14 to Bold Emperor in maiden at Limerick (2m) in March, but lesser efforts since, and opposable on balance for all he's now tried in cheekpieces for the first time.
Beaten favourite on all three starts in handicap hurdles earlier this year, but in frame each time, and travelled well for a long way at Clonmelon latest outing. One to take seriously on return from a break with quicker ground likely to suit.
Returned to recent best when half-length second at Down Royal (2½m) in May, and far from disgraced when fifth of 20 there last time. Best form at up to that trip, but not dismissed if stamina holds out here.
Well held on all starts over hurdles, although appeared to show improved formdespite finishing last in maiden at Listowel last time. Must prove that doesn't flatter him, and percentage call is to oppose in first-time hood.
Soundly beaten on all hurdles starts, and failed to find appreciable improvement for switch to handicaps last time.
Only beaten half a length in handicap over C&D last August, but form has taken a nosedive since, and leap of faith required to back her after latest tailed-off effort.
Patchy form at best over hurdles, and given he was best at up to 7f on the flat, the big step up in trip is most unlikely to prove in his favour here.
Runner-up in a point, but poor form in this sphere, and not enough promise from falling mark last time to make him of interest here.
Just a glimmer of promise in maiden hurdles, and pulled up on handicap debut at Wexford last time. Hard to entertain on that evidence.
Ran his best race for some time when fourth over fences at Wexford (25f) last time. Hurdles form not quite so good on balance, so others preferred back in this discipline.
No form over hurdles for Colm Donoghue, but figures on a lowly mark, and no surprise if he showed improvement on first start for Gordon Elliott. Market will prove informative.
Forecasts
Itsallhappening (5/2), Carlitos Bay (4/1), Cant Wait (7/1), Chapelier (8/1), Silver Tara (14/1), Authorative (14/1), Azure (14/1), Alamgiyr (16/1), Court Adjourned (16/1), Fr Captain Murphy (16/1), Chosen Hour (20/1), Mclaren Vale (20/1), One Can Cally (20/1), Colette's Choice (25/1), Silent Gain (25/1), Jamesmicheal (25/1), Phantasmo (33/1), Waste Of Time (33/1), Ballyegan Warrior (33/1)
There could very easily be improvement to come from Chapelier now stepping up in trip, and the booking of Ruby Walsh looks significant. He merits a close look in the market, along with Azure, who starts off for Gordon Elliott on a plater's mark, but the vote goes to ITSALLHAPPENING, who has been in the frame on all his handicap starts over timber, and is respected on form, while he could well find further improvement for racing on a sound surface.
