Tailed off on both completed starts and has plenty to prove in this. Looks the stable second string and clearly has plenty to prove.
Form is nothing special but he represents a yard with a 5-12 record in non-handicaps at this venue. Supported last time when forced to set his own pace and when mistakes proved costly.
Winning pointer who has ben pulled up on all three starts over hurdles. Has clearly had issues and one to watch until there are signs those problems are behind him.
Has displayed a modest level of ability so far and appears likely to struggle on his first run since November.
Dual bumper winner who finished 13L adrift in third on his hurdling debut. That was over 2m and he was done for pace when the race began in earnest. This stiffer test ought to see him in a better light with that experience behind him.
Has looked one paced of late so this step up in trip makes him open to improvement. Stable have a good strike rate here and their horses are in excellent form.
Has one good run on his cv which came at Kelso which came in a handicap off a mark of 85. Has dropped 8lb since then and hard to see him having what it will take to win this.
Hurdling debutant cost €27,000 as a three-year-old. Worth a check in the market as this one won his last two point-to-point starts and looked a nice type in a bumper here a month ago. Rider is 2-5 for the yard at this track for an eight point level stake profit.
Looked to be going the wrong way on the Flat before finishing a well beaten fourth on his hurdling debut.
Rider is 7-28 for this yard who do well at this venue. However, her form has been modest to date and it would be a surprise if she proved good enough.
Winner of a weak looking Irish point-to-point in April and bought privately since. Nevertheless, she is in good hands and one worth watching in the market.
Looks flattered by her latest effort in a small field where they went 25/1 bar the first two in the market. The second favourite went at the third last and she came home clear of some moderate types. This will reveal more as to how much of a bargain she was at ÂŁ800.
Forecasts
Loud And Clear (2/1), Otter Moon (11/4), Blue Comet (11/4), Special Prep (8/1), A Touch Of Sparkle (12/1), Devito'sgoldengirl (33/1), Reivers Lodge (33/1), Highland Peak (80/1), Grey Storm (80/1), Son Of Feyan (100/1), Airdrigh (100/1), Main Fact (100/1)
Blue Comet and Otter Moon represent yards with good records around here. Neither look anything out of the ordinary and they would be susceptible to a more progressive type. Loud And Clear has solid bumper form and may improve on his hurdling debut for the extra half-mile in this. SPECIAL PREP represents a trainer-jockey combination with a 40 percent strike rate here. The dual Irish point-to-point winner looked a nice recruit on his bumper debut and he should be seen to even better effect now jumping over this longer trip.
- Special Prep
- Otter Moon
- Loud And Clear
