In good form in two starts since joining this yard from Ed Dunlop, having been beaten just ½L in both. Remains in the same mark here and no reason why he can't go close again. Acts on any ground.
Sole turf win was on fast ground in 2014. Was in decent form on the Fibresand earlier in the year. Not as good on turf, but ran well from this mark twice on it last season and if in that form he couldn't be ruled out.
At his best on fast ground, the handicapper is gradually slackening his grip and he could get much closer following this latest 3lb drop, although he would prefer a bit more sunshine to help.
Yet to win over the minimum trip and has four successes over 6f. Recent efforts from slightly higher marks have come up short and he looks in need of further assistance from the handicapper.
Has reflected the stable's recent red hot form with back-to-back wins at Redcar and Beverley, both over 5f. Defied a penalty in the second of those, but still romped home by 5L and this extra 6lb today in a stronger contest does still not look frightening. The one to beat.
Recorded his second win at Southwell in January, the other one have been on turf at Bath (5f, good to firm) over two years ago. 4lb lower today than when beaten 1½L into third at Beverley (5f, good to firm) in May and has a squeak if returning to that sort of form, though that is far from guaranteed.
Won over this trip at Nottingham (good) from 1lb lower in May and added to that at Chelmsford (5f, AW) since. No reason why he can't go well again from today's mark, but may find one or two too good.
Had put in some decent efforts in defeat before coming good at the seventh attempt at Thirsk (5f, good to firm) last time. A 5lb rise for that looks tough enough in a better race here. when she didn't have an obvious excess in hand. More needed today.
Placed even times from 13 starts, four of them on turf. The most recent of those, when ½L second at Nottingham (5f, good to soft) from 1lb lower last month, would give her claims here, though was well held by Foxy Boy last time and could suffer a similar fate.
Her last two wins have been on good to soft ground over this sort of trip, though she has yet to record one in 2017. Has slipped down to a mark 6lb lower than the most recent of those and support for her would be very interesting, despite some indifferent recent form.

Forecasts
Foxy Boy (11/10), Muatadel (11/2), Eternalist (6/1), Cruise Tothelimit (6/1), Jabbarockie (8/1), Razin' Hell (9/1), Archimedes (14/1), Mighty Zip (16/1), Borough Boy (16/1), Spirit Of Zebedee (20/1), Toni's A Star (22/1), Bithynia (25/1), Emjayem (25/1)
Toni's A Star is back on a very handy mark if she can get back to anything like her old self, but she does carry risks and preference is for FOXY BOY, who comes into a better contest under a penalty but is in rare form and should be followed. Bithnyia should be able to finish closer to him, while Eternalist is respected along with Muatadel and Jabbarockie.
- Foxy Boy
- Muatadel
- Bithynia
