Progressive sort who went from strength to strength last season, culminating with an excellent third of 25 at the Punchestown festival. Still looks on a fair hurdles mark and he's a player if ready to go on debut for new yard in conditions he should relish.
Course who winner who didn't need to improve to win at Hexham on return to action after over a year off the track in a selling hurdle. Went close here twice last month when runner-up on each occasion to Mr McGuinness and may be able to reverse the form with that rival (has to carry a 7lb penalty); leading claims on form.
Not disgraced in the Fred Winter when last seen in 2016 but presumably had his issues since. Connections have mentioned that he wants fast ground so conditions may be in his favour despite his best wins coming in heavy ground. Entitled to need this run.
Has really hit form this year, winning back-to-back races over C&D on his latest two starts. Has to concede weight to the rival that has finished runner-up on each of those occasions and may struggle to confirm the form on revised terms.
Recorded a hat-trick back in 2015 and won his first race since at Newton Abbot last time having finally dropped to a more suitable mark. Not always the most willing partner so plenty depends on what mood he arrives in but only 2lb higher so can't be ruled out.
Recorded back-to-back wins last year but has been frustrating to follow since and appears to be struggling off his revised mark. Still relatively lightly raced and not beaten far last time but hard to imagine he's well-handicapped currently.
Very consistent sort who performed well on the Flat last time out at Pontefract when runner-up. Finished a decent second at Ayr earlier in the year over hurdles and still progressing currently. 2lb rise for that effort may underestimate him and fit from his recent spin on the Flat.
Looked like a smart prospect last year until losing his way towards the end of the season. Too keen to do himself justice on return at Stratford but should come on for that and on a fair mark if back on form.
Forecasts
Mr Mcguiness (7/2), Barman (7/2), Slim Pickens (4/1), Doubly Clever (6/1), Pinkie Brown (7/1), Brotherly Company (8/1), All For The Best (11/1), Harley Rebel (33/1)
SLIM PICKENS may get his revenge over his rival Mr Mcguiness who has got the better of him the last twice; the swing in the weights may see him reverse that form. Pinkie Brown is an interesting runner for his new stable while Barman is on a fair mark if he can refind his form.
