1lb higher than when scoring here over 6f (good to firm) last season. Has claims if returning to that sort of form, though recent efforts have been none-too-encouraging.
Well beaten in both handicap starts so far and has dropped a total of 5lb as s result. Back down in trip here and tries slower ground for the first time on turf. Possible that he may do better for that, but has plenty to prove.
Acts well with cut in the ground, as evidence by his most recent win which was back in November 2015 at Nottingham (5f, soft) from 2lb higher. Wasn't far away in those conditions here over C&D last month, so despite being well beaten on good ground twice since, you couldn't rule out a more competitive effort today.
Won a 6f Chepstow maiden on soft ground in 2014, with his only other success being a year later in a fast ground Beverley handicap (5f). Went well from today's mark here over 6f last time out and should be thereabouts.
Has made the frame just once in 11 attempts. Has dropped 3lb since her latest starts and interesting that her best effort so far this season was in first-time cheek pieces, which are back on today. Appeared to handle good to soft okay at Carlisle last year, so we could see a decent effort this time.
Yet to make the frame from eight attempts on turf, though ran quite well here last month when a 3½L fourth (C&D, good) to Dutch Dream, who runs in the previous division of this contest. Raised 1lb for that and the percentage call is that she is again likely to find a couple to beat her.
Supported in to 5-2 favourite before winning over C&D (soft) in a selling handicap last time. Did that with something in hand and returns under a 6lb penalty. With conditions similar, he has strong claims of a follow up in a race that should not take much winning.
Has so far failed to go on from the modicum of promise that she showed in maidens, when contesting a couple of handicaps. Has dropped a total of 6lb as a result of that, but has to prove herself on the forecast ground and others are preferred.
1lb out of the handicap and well beaten in all five starts this term from similar marks. It takes a sizeable leap of faith to see him getting involved and he is readily opposed today.

Forecasts
Wee Jock (11/10), Tinsill (6/1), Harpers Ruby (15/2), Minty Jones (8/1), La Haule Lady (8/1), Lady Joanna Vassa (8/1), Decadent Times (14/1), Cool Run Girl (16/1), Roman Times (33/1), Trulove (33/1), Warleggan (50/1), Port Master (66/1)
LADY JOANNA VASSA performs well when there is cut in the ground and looks to be back on a handy mark again, so she is taken to score here at the main expense of La Haule Lady. Paul Midgley's filly is also sliding to the sort of mark from which she could be effective and it would not surprise to see her go close with the headgear back on. Wee Jock won a selling handicap in good style here last time and is feared most of all, while a good run at a decent price looks possible from Decadent Times.
- Lady Joanna Vassa
- Wee Jock
- La Haule Lady
