Scored in similar conditions to today's at Ripon (1m4f) last month from 5lb lower. Comfortably held in a similar race to this back over that same C&D last time and the handicapper looks to have his measure on that basis.
Won o good to soft over 7f at Redcar last season and won again when stepped up markedly to 1m6f at Wetherby (good to firm) last time. Raised just 2lb for that narrow success, this is not quite as strong-a-contest, so he has sound claims in his attempt to follow up.
Went close to winning a 1m Kempton (AW) maiden in November and didn't do too badly on his only handicap start over that same C&D. 1lb lower this time, after an abortive attempt in a 1m2f maiden in April and pedigree suggests that this step up in trip could bring improvement, so has to enter calculations.
Won a Lingfield maiden (1m4f, AW) in March and ran well enough on his handicap debut from 1lb higher than today at Chelmsford in May (1m6f). Drop to 1m3f and soft ground saw him beaten almost 6L at Carlisle last time, so come into this from same mark with a bit to prove, but not one to write off yet.
Sees out 1m6f and acts with cut in the ground, but the handicapper is yet to relent from the sort of mark when she is good enough to make the frame, but needs to improve to break her duck. Might just find one or two too good again.
0-16 and his best recent effort was in a Perth maiden hurdle in May. Acts with cut in the ground and a further 3lb drop to his Flat mark will be welcomed. Market check advised, though hard to see him having any better than frame claims.
Has made the frame the last three times she has visited the racecourse, being beaten just a nose on her only handicap start at Doncaster (1m4f, good to firm) in April, when 5lb lower. Beaten favourite over 1m2f last time, but more improvement not ruled out over this far if she handles slower ground.
Well held in all three starts in maiden company over 1m-1m4f and including a run on soft last time. Now goes handicapping from a workable mark and with blinkers added. At face value his form so far is not strong enough, but we could see an improved effort and a market check is suggested.

Picture Painter and Leven would both be interesting if supported here, while Wordsearch could find a fair bit more for this marked step up in trip and is very much respected. However, DAVY'S DILEMMA also appreciated a similar rise in distance at Wetherby last time and there looked like there might be enough in the locker to defy a 2lb rise here. Falcon's Fire is feared, while Lady Natasha and Tor could be in the battle for minor honours.
