Progressive type who won in good style at Naas last time out. This is tougher but she should have plenty more to offer, though she does look to be the second string for her top trainer.
Sister to Churchill who hasn't shown an enormous amount so far relative to her breeding, though her seventh placed finish at Royal Ascot was somewhat encouraging. Probably needs another step forward, though.
Remains a maiden having never really threatened on three starts over this trip so far. Has plenty to find in order to seriously challenge most of these.
Did well to win on debut despite not enjoying a seamless trip at Dundalk. Should be able to come on for that and should find the extra furlong no issue whatsoever.
Beaten favourite by Too Familiar last time over shorter, but is already proven over this trip having won her maiden over C&D. Should go close again, but perhaps without reversing form with her reopposing rival.
Nice winner of a Cork maiden in May but has come up short twice at a higher level since and could find herself in too deep once again here.
Beat Butterscotch narrowly to make a winning debut at Fairrhouse last month (6f, good). Cheek pieces are now added and she showed plenty of determination on debut that could come in useful here.
Narrowly finished ahead of Gasta to maintain her unbeaten record at this course over slightly shorter last time out. Extra furlong shouldn't inconvenience and she looks a talented prospect.
Forecasts
Clemmie (6/4), Butterscotch (3/1), Too Familiar (4/1), Sometimesadiamond (8/1), Gasta (11/1), Fille Du Septembre (20/1), Mamba Noire (25/1), Drombeg Dream (66/1)
The key piece of form here may well be TOO FAMILIAR's defeat of Gasta over shorter at this course last time. Both fillies impressed with their performances in that race and both, in particular the selection, have the scope to improve further in their first foray into Group company. The winner that day is just preferred to confirm form, but she won't find it easy with some promising types in this field, including Butterscotch, who appears to be her trainer's second string here but has progressed nicely through her juvenile career so far.
- Too Familiar
- Gasta
- Butterscotch
