Kodiac filly, cost €56,000 as a foal and £42,000 as a yearling. Dam a winner over 1m4f and half-sister to Group placed Margay out of a half-sister to US Grade 1 winner Buckhar. While she may want a little further than this trip, it's likely that connections mean business with this jockey booked and sire's progeny usually don't mind some cut in the ground. Interesting debutante.
Oasis Dream filly, cost 38,000 gns as a yearling. Dam a sister to Chequers out of a sister to multiple Group 1 winner Dubai Millennium. Yard's juveniles have been going well this season and market likely to reveal expectations on debut.
Shamardal filly, half-sister to several winners at around this trip. Made a promising start to her career on debut at Chepstow and that effort came on soft ground so proven in the conditions to some extent, but likely to need plenty more in here against some potentially useful looking sorts.
Dawn Approach filly, cost 70,000 gns as a yearling. Half-sister to useful sprinter Shamsaya and dam placed in Listed company. Yard capable of readying one for a debut so has to be respected with a jockey up who is four wins from 13 rides for the yard.
Sepoy filly, cost 60,000 gns as a yearling. Half-sister to winners Harathea and Gaazwa. Dam was a middle distance winner and half-sister to Listed winner Barolo. Impressive debut behind a smart prospect at Haydock earlier in the month and entitled to come on for that run but yard have been a little quiet.
Forecasts
Oriental Song (13/8), Vodka Pigeon (11/4), Perfect Thought (9/2), Kareva (11/2), Graffitista (8/1), Red Snapper (50/1)
GRAFFITISTA could be the one side with and her sire's progeny tend not to mind softer conditions. Vodka Pigeon ran a sound race on debut while Perfect Thought and Kareva are both interesting debutantes from yards that warrant respect with their juveniles.
