Things didn't go to plan when unseating his rider at 7/4 over hurdles debut last time but had shown plenty of promise in Flat maidens prior to that and looked like he should improve for this step up in trip. Interesting.
Off the mark at Lingfield last time when upped to this trip for the first time, and no surprise to see him switched to conditions company given an 11lb increase in the weights. Open to continuing his recent improvement.
Ran well at a fair price in a maiden last time over a trip that seems to suit, and remains over that distance today. A synthetic surface looked like it helped on that occasion, and he should go close here if proving as effective on the Tapeta.
Has been running some fair races in handicap company recently, and though she wasn't as impressive off level-weights in maidens she seems progressive and her sole previous win came over this distance.
Has shown some ability in maidens and has some scope for further progression, but has been pitched in relatively deep here for his first start outside of maidens and needs to find much more.
Has run some solid races up until now without really threatening to get off the mark, and may find this too much once again, though some first time cheek pieces may have a positive impact.
Sole win came at the specialist track of Southwell in a race that looks very poor, and he has plenty of questions to answer on the basis of just about all of his other performances.
Steps back down in trip here having won over this distance in the past, but hasn't been performing well enough recently to suggest that he can have a meaningful say here.

This is an intriguing little conditions race, where BOWBAN looks the one to be with. Brian Ellison's charge has run well in maidens up until now and it seems like this step up in trip is exactly what he wants. He should be capable of further improvement and narrowly gets the vote here ahead of Marine One, who has also put in some solid efforts in maidens, while Conkering Hero can follow up a win at Lingfield last time with another solid effort here.
