Had last week's Britannia winner Bless Him back in third when just denied by subseqent winner City Of Joy here last month. Beaten favourite on firm ground since but going may have turned against him here if proven as soft as forecast. The dam and her progeny were better on sounder surfaces.
Has had every chance on both starts this year but has been outbattled in the closing stages. Hood now fitted and dropped in trip.
Has produced a telling turn of foot to score at Chelmsford and, more recently, at Yarmouth. More to do in this grade but we are probably still to see the best of him. Top jockey keeps the ride.
Has looked a difficult ride as he may not be straightforward and can take a keen hold. Set a searching pace at Haydock in the mud last time and dropped out quickly 2f out. Dropped back to a mile for this but others still look more appealing.
Developing into a smart Northern handicapper and his style of running may disguise how much he has had in hand. Shouldering a 6lb penalty but due to race off a 3lb higher mark after today. Pedigree suggests the ground should not be a problem.

Forecasts
Century Dream (2/1), Moolazim (7/2), Materialist (4/1), Helovaplan (5/1), Mustarrid (11/2), Casimiro (12/1), Ahlan Bil Zain (14/1)
Ahlan Bil Zain represents the yard who landed this two years ago. There appear to be valid excuses for his three defeats this term and his defeat of Mister Manduro last term shows him to be on a handy mark. His defeat on heavy ground causes concern if rain continues to fall but he is one to note in advance trading. Moolazim was impressive last time and but is raised in class on softer ground. The ground is and issue too for Mustarrid. Century Dream has few fears in that regard but the fitting of a hood having conceded in recent battles prompts us to side with HELOVAPLAN. He shoulders a penalty but is due to race off even higher marks after this. The dam's side of the pedigree raise hopes that he will handle these conditions and he could take some beating off his low weight.
