Quite a free racer and this mile may well stretch his stamina if he races like that again here. Showed improved form last time out despite not being that well placed in the race but this increased trip may just prove beyond him.

Not discredited in a French claimer last time (stiff task) and he may well enjoy the softer surface here on his second try in a handicap.

Still a maiden and has had plenty of chances in handicaps off marks similar to this one (66). Probably capable of winning off it though if everything goes her way but a good gallop would be best for her as she can race a little freely.

Like a few in this field he's had a few goes at handicaps without getting his head in front and remains a maiden. His profile is solid enough and he will handle any softening of the ground but will remain vulnerable to anything progressive.

Verdict

This had looked a strong heat but with a couple of non-runners already it may not be as strong as first thought. Excel Again still has some potential although maybe hasn’t made as much progress as he was first thought to have and off top weight on this ground may look a little vulnerable. Mama Africa needs to settle better but would look to have a chance if there is a decent gallop here and Teqany is of similar ilk. In the end it may well pay to give GOLCONDA PRINCE another chance with a couple of the progressive types missing and he’ll certainly handle any worsening of the ground.
