In cracking form at present and has won his last two at Ffos Las with ease, coming clear on the bridle last time out. Handicapper has given him a whack for that, and now 12lb higher, but no saying his progression has finished. May not want much rain but that aside, every chance of the hat-trick.

Had looked to be on the way back to peak form until a moderate effort at Uttoxeter last time, which needs forgiving. On the plus side, is 1-1 at Worcester and still nicely weighted, so chances if bouncing back and the rain stays away.

Seemed to not quite get home in the Champions hunter chase at Stratford last time, and this drop back in trip no bad thing. Has won on soft, so won't mind rain, looks fairly treated for return to handicap company and lady rider gets on well with him. Looks a player.

Probably hasn't won as many as one of his ability should have, and a few too many placed efforts on his card for comfort. Well behind Super Scorpion last time and although the weights today give him a squeak, not as progressive as that rival.

Only the one win since 2014, but wasn't out of the equation when a bad mistake knocked the stuffing out of him at Cartmel last time. Handicapper not letting go, though, and despite yard's good form, others are preferred.

Very well treated on the best of his form, warmed up for this with a second in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter but has become a little disappointing, in truth, and going days becoming harder to predict. Obvious chances, but comes with risks now.

Infrequent winner but capable of good form when he puts it all together, and is back on his last winning mark. Plenty of ground to make up on Super Scorpion but rain would improve his chance, Not totally discounted.

Forecasts

A Good Skin (3/1), Super Scorpion (4/1), Fort Worth (9/2), Wadswick Court (13/2), Rebel Rebellion (7/1), Al Alfa (7/1), Tinker Time (17/2)

Verdict

Super Scorpion is improving leaps and bounds at the minute and won with so much in hand that the weight rise might not stop him. Rain, however, might damage his chance as he seems to bounce off the quicker ground, and with that, REBEL REBELLION might be the one to beat here. Far from disgraced in a top class hunter chase at Stratford last time, conditions could be ideal come race time and he looks well weighted to make a bold bid. Al Alfa might make a bold bid from the front but looks vulnerable, so Tinker Time might be the one for the trifecta.
  1. Rebel Rebellion
  2. Super Scorpion
  3. Tinker Time
