Some good and solid form to his name last season headlined by his two wins in the summer. Back from a fair break now in a competitive race although he has run quite well when fresh in the past so not totally written off.
Looks a less than straightforward sort and clearly has his quirks and foibles but can travel strongly and has won this year off a 2lb lower mark. Still shaped well enough at Wetherby last time (may have not have been on the best ground) and respected here.
Maiden winner in Ireland and looks to have been bubbling under a little for this yard off a mark that makes him interesting. Needs to settle better than his last run but clearly has ability and well worth watching in the market.
Versatile character having won on the AW and most recently on turf at Catterick and only gets a 3lb rise for that narrow win. Wide draw makes life a little tougher but rarely quick away and dangerous if he gets a pace to run at.
Has been in cracking form and got himself back on track at Musselburgh last time after needing his seasonal reappearance (had won his last two starts of last season). Given a 5lb impost for that last win which looks stiff but does travel well and hard to rule out given his previous form.
Form of his surprise Leicester win is working out well (Showboating behind) t that 5lb rise does take his mark to a new level and it remains to be seen how he responds.
Another interesting one from the stable who also have Madroos in this and he's also one who needs watching in the market. There are plenty of creditable races on his CV this year and this could well be another one.
Cheekpieces go back on as he makes his second start for this yard with the first leaving question marks and on form he has plenty to find on balance.
Southwell has probably seen the best of him this year although he has been placed on the turf and his latest run can be excused after a stumble at the start. Wasn't knocked around in that race and a fast pace would suit as he does find plenty for pressure.
Certainly operating well below his best at the moment and would need to find plenty to the form that saw him win off a mark of 67.
Formerly with Pat Phelan he's made a decent enough start for his new yard with a couple of placed efforts at Newcastle and Hamilton shaping as though he retained all his ability and travelling well. Yet to win a race of any sort though and that slightly tempers enthusiasm.
Form has taken a backward step this year although he was useful at his best but others hold far stronger claims here.
Interesting seasonal debutante for a yard that looked to turn him around last year when he won his last two starts over a mile. 8lb higher than that last win but has gone well fresh before although if he does want to front run (did so for both last two wins) then the wide draw is a little problematic.
Has never looked the easiest ride and often travels well before finding very little and it would be no surprise to see a similar display here. Not one to trust and other would make far more appeal.

Forecasts
Madroos (7/2), Muirsheen Durkin (13/2), Frank Bridge (7/1), Destroyer (7/1), Zlatan (15/2), Hanseatic (15/2), Jacbequick (8/1), Showboating (9/1), Yensir (9/1), Big Time Dancer (11/1), Dark Forest (16/1), Argaki (20/1), Ingleby Angel (22/1), Tectonic (22/1), Zeshov (28/1), Redvers (33/1), Planetaria (50/1)
A tough and tricky getting out stakes with a variety of options to looks at and Mick Easterby saddles a couple of fascinating and potentially well-handicapped runners in Hanseatic and MADROOS. The latter has never won a handicap but looks to be off a mark to put that right here. Dark Forest enters the argument if he gets a good pace to run at with Planetaria worth keeping an eye on for his seasonal reappearance. Zeshov has more to do off a 5lb higher mark but remains in form and Big Time Dancer at the bottom of the handicap will be very dangerous if he return in the same form as he ended 2016.
- Madroos
- Big Time Dancer
- Planetaria
