Good strike rate at this level for one of her ability, and probably needed most recent outing at Fakenham after an eight month absence. However, jury still out as to whether this trip is what she wants (all best form at shorter) and others more likely.

Hasn't been running at all badly this spring, and has bumped into a couple of well-treated rivals along the way. This looks another suitable opportunity to score, and with no trip or ground issues, looks sure to go close if giving his running.

Still 8lb higher than last win (at Newton Abbot last September) but more encouragement to be taken from his staying-on sixth at Worcester last time, not beaten that far. Ran well here last year, and with no trip or ground issues, looks one of the more likely ones.

Third in a bumper here on debut in May 2016 and although he's not troubled the judge yet, he wasn't disgraced in finishing fifth on his handicap debut at Kempton latest and this is easier. Only five, so improvement likely at some stage, and is interesting here.

First run for new yard today, and hasn't won a race since 2015. The odd good effort among some mediocre ones recently but hardly looks thrown in today, and is best watched.

Ran okay in a couple of bumpers and some encouragement to be taken from his second to Bach De Clermont here in May, but not so good upped to this trip last time out and weakened out of it too quickly for comfort. Bit to prove now.

The ability is there but she has some temperament to go with it (can race with head high) and hung under pressure at Uttoxeter last time. Upped in trip here, which might suit on breeding, and although not discounted, clearly not one for maximum faith in either.

Still a maiden after 13 starts but has given the impression on her last two starts that there's a race in her. Bumped into a smart one last time out and if getting this new trip, could get involved.

Forecasts

Sureness (3/1), Sweet Holly (9/2), Charlie Papa Lima (11/2), Lerichi Belle (11/2), Knight's Parade (8/1), Dun Scaith (9/1), Prince Kup (10/1), Crack Du Tay (11/1)

Verdict

An interesting little contest with a mix of proven in-form ones like Knight's Parade) meet some that might well improve today. CRACK DU TAY comes top of that list after an eyecatching effort at Kempton last time and in this easier contest, could go close. Knight's Parade is doing little wrong and along with Sweet Holly, who could improve for this trip, and Dun Scaith, who dropped a hint last time out, should fight out the places.
  1. Crack Du Tay
  2. Knight's Parade
  3. Dun Scaith
