Bumper winner was left clear to score over hurdles at Clonmel in March 2016 and opened his account over fences when easily accounting for Dicosimo at Fairyhouse in February. Highly tried in his last two starts, he will be much more at home in this company.

Three time winner over hurdles and opened his account over the larger obstacles at Thurles over 2m6f in March. A progressive chaser, he likes to bowl along in front but has to turn around the form with Alamein.

Wonderfully consistent sort and has wins over both hurdles and fences to his name. Behind Townshend in his last two races over 2m, he steps up in trip tonight and will be staying on when others have had enough.

Another consistent performer and he duly opened his account over the larger obstacles when scoring over 2m4f at Cork in April, staying on strongly to win going away. Beaten favourite last two starts but has excellent claims here this evening.

Was in excellent form last spring/summer when picking up three nice wins over the smaller obstacles. Has been sent off a warm favourite for both recent outings over fences but has found a few too good for him. Surefire future winner over the larger obstacles.
A winner once in 11 starts over timber, he burst blood vessels when beaten out of sight on his second start over fences almost a year ago and reverts to chasing tonight having his second run for a new yard. Probably best watched.

Landed a couple of bumpers early in 2016 when trained by Aidan O'Brien before opening his account over hurdles at Listowel last September. A beaten favourite in his next three starts, he beat just one home on his chasing bow recently, beaten just under 30L and will need to step up on that to win tonight.

Another former inmate of Aidan O'Brien, with winning form on the level and created a good impression when winning his first three races over hurdles, the last a Grade 3 event at Fairyhouse. Good form in good company since then, he was only beaten 6L behind Townshend on his recent chasing bow and he could overturn that form with Potters Point.

Forecasts

Landofhopeandglory (6/4), Potters Point (7/2), Static Jack (6/1), Dicosimo (6/1), Black Warrior (7/1), Supreme Vinnie (10/1), Alamein (14/1), Aspen Colorado (25/1), Go Forty Go (40/1)

Verdict

Potters Point is a game and genuine performer who always gives it his all. A winner over hurdles and fences, he will be staying on in the closing stages. LANDOFHOPEANDGLORY was a former smart Flat performer for Aidan O'Brien and has a great record over hurdles, winning his first three starts in eye-catching fashion. Beaten just over 7L in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March, he was just behind Potters Point on his debut over fences and can turn that form around here. Alamein has already beaten Dicosimo but both are decent chasing prospects who could go well while Static Jack does not know how to run a bad race and is another to consider in an excellent race.
