Showed up well on his debut at Redcar despite looking inexperienced (slow away/took keen hold) but was only beaten by a subsequent handicap winner. Will have learnt plenty from that and likely to come on from that and better is expected here.

Debut second at Wolverhampton recently when well backed will have stood him in good stead and he should progress from that run. Clearly needed the experience there and in with a sound chance with that experience under his belt now starting out on turf for the first time.
Nathaniel filly who makes her debut and is a half-sister to several winners so will be worth watching in the market. An interesting newcomer who may well come on for this run and well worth watching with the future in mind.

Forecasts

Mountain Hunter (1/1), Playwriter (2/1), Yaarmen (9/2), Zack Mayo (5/1), Perfect Spy (8/1), Luna Magic (25/1), Sputnik Planum (25/1)

Verdict

The bin Suroor debutante Mountain Hunter will be of interest here especially with the trainer having a good recent record in the race but the experience of YAARMEN may just hold sway on this occasion. Playwriter will have also come on for his first run and can get involved while Zack Mayo will be of more interesting in handicaps and Perfect Spy respected on her debut and worth a glance in the market.
  1. Yaarmen
  2. Mountain Hunter
  3. Playwriter
