The drop back to this trip and the application of a hood suited this gelding perfectly when reversing previous form with Minella Beau at Limerick last month. Concedes weight to all of his rivals, but competitive on that latest showing with similar ground conditions likely.
Shaped with immense promise on debut over C&D last month, and duly obliged when hacking up at Punchestown three weeks later on just his second career start. Very tough to beat if allowed to employ similar front-running tactics.
Moderate in Point-to-Points and shown little since switched to bumpers. Well out of his depth against these rivals.
Inexpensive purchase as a yearling by Mr Dinos out of Vera Glynn. Unraced second foal who faces an extremely tough test on debut.

Cost €17,000 as a three-year-old (by Beat All), but has shaped only moderately in a pair of bumpers to date, and was well behind Gagas Horse at Limerick last month.
Mare who cost €6,000 as a three-year-old. Unraced first foal by Stowaway out of Loreley (an unraced sister to bumper, hurdle and chase winner Avoca Promise).

Finished last of 16 on debut in a Roscommon bumper in July 2015, but reappeared in Point-to-Points last month, and is two from two since, with victories at Necarne and Kinsale. Drying ground a slight concern.

Unraced mare by Definite Article out of Grangeclare Gold. Cost €6,000 as a foal and bred to stay, so interesting to see how she does on racecourse debut with a leading rider booked.
Always prominent throughout but headed close home when going down by ½L to Like An Open Book (pair well clear) on debut at Clonmel two weeks ago. Receives plenty of weight from all of her rivals and with a good 5lb claimer booked could well be involved in the finish.

Forecasts

Los Alamos (4/6), Tadhgs Girl (3/1), Gagas Horse (4/1), Laoch Liam (12/1), Betsy Boots (20/1), Corella Creek (20/1), Mr Dealer (25/1), Sinnerman (33/1), Mistercobar (33/1)

Verdict

A smashing little contest to round off the evening action at Down Royal with a number of these horses likely to have decent enough futures. Gagas Horse enjoyed the drop in trip when scoring at Limerick, but faces a difficult task giving weight to these rivals. The jockey bookings of Laoch Liam and Tadhgs Girl catch the eye, with the latter named filly posting an excellent debut effort at Clonmel a fortnight ago. However, the horse they all have to beat is the Joseph O'Brien trained Galileo gelding LOS ALAMOS who built upon a pleasing C&D debut (third) when hacking up by 11L at Punchestown on his next start.
  1. Los Alamos
  2. Tadhgs Girl
  3. Gagas Horse
