Runs over optimum trip and looked on the way back to something like peak form when a solid second at Ayr in handicap company last time out. Stable still firing in the winners, and jockey's allowance a bonus.
Has been well placed to land three sellers already this term and went very close in handicap company at Pontefract in May. Not ruled out, but more needed on these terms.
Dropped 11lb in the ratings since A/W win at Kempton last year and hasn't shown a great deal in four starts this term for current yard. Stable is in form, but a genuine revival needed if he's to get involved.
Fair handicapper at his best over today's distance but hasn't fired in three starts so far this turf campaign. Drops in class and still respected so market might prove a valuable guide to his chances.
Dead-heated in A/W 6f handicap at Newcastle in November and joined new yard in April. Possibly in need of the run when well beaten on only start this term and has something to find on blance of form.
String of defeats since last win some 22 months ago, but ran well enough when third at Wetherby last time out. Not favoured by terms of this race however and it will be a surprise if this veteran is good enough to score.
Forecasts
Tatlisu (8/11), Mishaal (3/1), Bernie's Boy (10/1), Noah Amor (10/1), More Beau (16/1), Ypres (28/1)
Although he has plenty of weight, TATLISU might prove the best option in a race populated by generally disappointing performers. The selection ran well last time out, and with connections in fine form he should go very close indeed. If Mishaal could recover some of his best form he would have a fine chance in receipt of weight as this is an easier task than he has faced for a long time. He could be a danger. Of the rest, Noah Amor has done well in lowly grade and is clearly in good heart, while More Beau may improve on his unimpressive seasonal return effort.
- Tatlisu
- Mishaal
- Noah Amor
