Not seen since pulling up at Warwick when last seen and remains a maiden after 12 starts under rules. Well suited to coming off a strong pace but may struggle to do that with no confirmed front runners in the line up.
Generally a consistent sort and still slightly progressive. Could be a bit more to come over this trip and he likes faster ground. Interesting runner.
Still a maiden after 11 starts and best form is in softer conditions than what he's likely to get here. Looked beaten when falling last time and plenty of questions to answer for now.
Reverts to chasing here but all his wins have come over hurdles and he's entitled to need this run after a significant absence. Doesn't always jump well and looks up against it.
Pulled up on his first run over fences last time and hardly looked like a natural jumper, making plenty of errors on his way round. Consistency not his forte but trainer does have a 20.37% strike-rate over C&D.
Hadn't won for 14 months prior to his most recent success at Fontwell last week (3m1f+ good to firm). Turns out under a penalty, which is probably advisable given the manner of that success, and leading claims on just his second start for this trainer (previously with Fiona Kehoe).
Still a maiden and jumping not always the best. Has won point-to-points and on a workable mark if he can put it all together on first start under rules in over two years.
Veteran and winner of a point-to-point at Whitfield (good) in April. Showed nothing at Fakenham on his first start under rules in over a year earlier in the month and probably a bit long in the tooth to win a race of this nature now.
Forecasts
Fort Gabriel (9/4), Deadly Move (11/4), Shady Glen (9/2), Perfectly Willing (5/1), Steel Native (10/1), Ultimate Dream (12/1), Mostly Bob (16/1), Who Am I (33/1)
FORT GABRIEL will be tough to beat if he turns up in the same form as he was in at Fontwell last week. Shady Glen is more consistent than most in here while Peter Bowen does well with his runners here and Deadly Move can't be dismissed if they go quick enough on the front end.
- Fort Gabriel
- Shady Glen
- Deadly Move
