Was in excellent heart over hurdles earlier in the year, hasn't been out since March when 1¾L second off this mark. Fair claims in this line-up and tends to run his race.
Easy winner of a 2m maiden at Limerick (good to firm) a year ago before being well beaten off in novice Galway event (2m½f, good) in July. Off since and switched to this handler, market can guide expectations on return.
Three wins from 17 career starts over hurdles but 0/6 last year and mostly out of form. Must defy 233-day layoff to score on return and has tended to need the run in the past.
Just one win from 16 over flights but ran a fine race last time at Punchestown (2m½f, good to yielding) in April and will have strong claims if able to reproduce that despite being rated 5lb higher.
Winner of a bumper and maiden hurdle last year, so has ability, but can race keenly. Decent effort last month at Punchestown coming off a layoff and can get involved here.
Gutsy performance at Tramore recently to win having had contested lead for much of the 2m journey. Has now won two of six over timber and should give another good account despite 6lb rise.
Winner of an extended 2m2f conditions races at Angers (good to soft) on his final start in France for previous yard back in February, he was beaten 22L on Irish bow at Roscommon seven days ago (2m½f, yielding to soft). Chance that he would have needed that run, could do better.
Was 3L behind Zanjabeel at Tramore last week on first start for this trainer, that was a much-improved effort and a repeat will give him every chance at revised weights.
Won a C&D maiden hurdle on his debut in March 2016 and has hit the frame in both starts here recently, latterly off this mark when beaten 5¼L into third of eight. Definite place claims again.
32-race maiden but turned in a career best effort when finishing third of 14 over C&D (good) last month. Failed to back that up since at Tramore and seemingly back at the drawing board being wrong at the weights for this.
Forecasts
Runyon Rattler (7/2), Mr Antolini (7/2), Camlann (9/2), Alterno (7/1), Zanjabeel (8/1), Danequest (8/1), Do Try Dolly (10/1), Masterchippy (16/1), Gunner Mcgregor (20/1), Customer (33/1)
Zanjabeel was persistence personified at Tramore last time with a good front-running ride from Russell and the pair should go well again despite being rated 6lb higher here. Danequest wasn't far behind there and is better off now at the weights while Runyon Rattler ran a super race at Punchestown when last spotted in April and will be expected to go close again. Some chance can be given to Alterno and Mr Antolini but this might go to CAMLANN. He was a model of consistency early in the year and just went down off this mark when last spotted. He's been given a nice break since and if turning up in the same mood, should go very close.
- Camlann
- Zanjabeel
- Runyon Rattler
