From a yard that have been in good form of late and although he missed the whole of the 2016 season the addition of a hood (plus a falling mark) saw him bounce back to form at Ripon last time. Up 6lb for that win but might still have some scope having run off much higher marks in the past.
Sent to the well plenty of times this year and her form has been a little bit up-and-down this year. Usually leads and may get a soft time in front here but needs to show more than she did last time out at Newcastle.
Three-time winner last year and looked as though he was returning to form last time out when narrowly beaten at Newcastle. Has won over C&D and looks capable off this mark which is 2lb below his career high.
Back from a decent break and record fresh is a pretty poor one (0/4 off breaks this long) and he may well need the outing here although the trip will prove no problem.
Certainly has plenty to prove over trips such as this given how free that he's run in races over distances like this and will need to settle far better. Doesn't look an easy ride either and other would be preferred here.
Remains a maiden although he's only had one try for this yard over 1m4f at Thirsk when she certainly looked as though she needed the run. Didn't really progress as expected as a three-year-old but could be lurking on a lowly mark here and might be worth keeping an eye on in the market.
Forecasts
Theos Lolly (7/4), Marmion (2/1), Star Of Lombardy (7/2), Pennerley (11/1), Chant (14/1), Fisherman's Blues (28/1)
Marmion still looks to have some scope in him off his current mark having found the hood sparking some improvement last time out but the C&D winner THEOS LOLLY has worked his way back to a useful mark and goes well here. Star Of Lombardy could get an easy lead here but she didn’t look in much form to exploit that based on her last run and Pennerley is given a better chance here based on her run at Thirsk last time which should have brought her on.
- Theos Lolly
- Pennerley
- Marmion
