Placed here three times from four starts, so likes this track, and record in this grade a good one too (two wins and three places from seven runs). Looked to be refinding some from in a better race than this at Haydock last time (beaten 3¼ lengths) and looks a big player here.
Another that likes the track (one win and two places from 5 starts) and can be forgiven effort at York last time as best form is at this trip rather than 7f. Now 2lb lower than last win and from such a mark, a return to form can't be ruled out.
Has shown some solid form recently although finding it hard to get his head in front, and handicapper not cutting him any slack either. No win since 2015 and possibly happier on easier tracks, so others preferred.
On the plus side, handles this track well (three wins here) and now on a very good mark on the best of his form, but latest couple of efforts suggest he's rather gone off the boil, and others hold stronger claims here.
Infuriating sprinter who often finds trouble in running before flying home, and a record of just 3 wins from 59 runs tells you plenty. Trip and ground both fine but simply can't be entertained for win purposes with such a record.
Back to form at Leicester at the weekend when finding only the improving Goodwood Crusader too good, and goes here off the same mark. Trip and ground both fine and this uphill finish should play to his strengths, so every chance of going one better today.
Went close over this C&D in early June and gained her reward for that with victory at Ayr last time. That form given a boost when second won next time out, so she can't be discounted from a 4lb higher mark today.
Did it nicely at Ripon two starts ago, winning with a bit in hand, but disappointed at Thirsk latest and hard to find an excuse for that. Too soon to write off, but does need to bounce back to earlier form now.

This race really should have a wealth warning attached to it, as not only does it feature some hard-to-catch-right characters, there's very little in the way of pace and a messy contest is likely. PARYS MOUNTAIN is given a tentative vote as he's in good form and may well have more to offer on a track that should suit his style. Cosmic Chatter takes another drop in grade and looks about ready to score again, and can prove the danger. Manatee Bay and Love Oasis look the most likely to fight out the bronze medal.
