Bought for £10,000 and half-sister to three winners including two in Italy. One of two in the race for a yard who have gone 10 months without a juvenile winner.

Forecasts

Silca Mistress (11/4), Javelin (11/4), Mecca's Spirit (7/2), Lady Grand (6/1), Hermana Santa (9/1), Bibbidibobbidiboo (16/1), Porrima (33/1), Sovereign Katie (33/1), Poppy Walton (40/1), Elysee Star (66/1), Brough Lane Lass (100/1)

Verdict

Silca Mistress sets a reasonable standard but there is potentially a smart filly lurking amongst the newcomers with Mecca's Spirit and the Fahey pair, Javelin and LADY GRAND taking the eye on pedigrees. Mecca's Spirit represents an in form team and is the most expensive of these and is bred for speed, however that yard is only 2-33 with juveniles here. Richard Fahey had the winner last year as well as the third. LADY GRAND's dam was a useful juvenile and her yard have an excellent record with this age group on this course and that just leads us to favour her chances.
  1. Lady Grand
  2. Mecca's Spirit
  3. Silca Mistress
