Seven-race maiden in the jumps sphere who ran best race on debut in a 2m firm ground bumper at Punchestown in October 2014. First outing on the Flat comes after 317 days off.
Just the three starts to date, ran best of those on the AW at Dundalk last month when upped to this sort of trip and could be type to go well in this.
Struggled badly in all five UK/Ireland starts to date, including last month over 2m at Clonmel on debut for this yard. Not much reason to believe there will be significant enough improvement down in trip to land this pot.
Just failed to get home over 1m2f at Cork last month on third start on good to firm ground. That is the standout piece of form on offer and no surprise if the Dutch Art colt sheds maiden tag now.
Home-bred daughter of Strategic Prince, whose dam was a 23 race maiden. Tailed off last week in 2m maiden hurdle at Roscommon on debut.
Showed good promise on debut at Navan (1m, good) in August last year, didn't build on it two further runs and returns now from a layoff.
Better effort on second start at Limerick in April when upped to a mile, beaten just 2½L despite running a bid green. Up in distance and could be more to come.
Fair efforts in three starts in maiden company including in a first time tongue tie (retained) over 1m2f at Cork (good-to-firm) last month, though that form gives her plenty to find with Zabalan.
Forecasts
Zabalan (4/9), Kissing Bubbles (7/2), Costa (8/1), L'ambre Gris (8/1), Lara's Theme (14/1), Fianchetto (33/1), Boston Oscar (40/1), Glimmer Of Hope (50/1)
ZABALAN sets a clear standard on last month's run at Cork and it will be no shock should the Weld colt prove up to winning this contest now. He looks hard to pass in this line-up. Costa ran well on the AW last time and undoubtedly has scope to improve while L'ambre Gris also shaped well on second start at Limerick in April and may have something more to give.
- Zabalan
- Costa
- L'ambre Gris
