0-5 on turf, his best form thus far being on the All Weather, where he won his maiden and has been placed twice in handicaps, including at Chelmsford (7f) last time. Effective over this trip and a further 2lb drop will help, so can't be ruled out.
Won over this trip on good to soft last season at Carlisle and is now 2lb lower. Hasn't yet been able to put in a good performance on fast ground, however, so despite looking nicely treated that has to be a serious concern.
All three of her turf wins have been here, the last of the being over C&D in April (good to firm) from 9lb lower. Was once again very competitive back here over 7½f last time, from 1lb lower than today, and with a claimer up today she looks a leading player.
5lb higher than when beaten just a nose here last season and 4lb higher than his last turf win, at Musselburgh 13 months ago. Has very solid claims based on his Pontefract run last month from 4lb higher and now back up in trip from 7f.
Won a 7f maiden auction event at Newcastle (AW) in July last year and has gone well in a couple of handicaps from higher marks than this, including here over 7½f (good to firm) in April. Soft ground probably responsible for his run last time and back on fast ground and from this mark he should be very competitive.
Won a Pontefract handicap (1m, good to firm) in April from 3lb lower and possibly not quite as well suited by slower ground at Ripon last when, when running well enough nonetheless. Still unexposed and open to further progress. Interesting contender.
Was a 5L C&D winner in September (good) from 2lb lower, but has struggled to make a serious impact from lower marks than today's since then. Headgear now tried for the first time, but looks up against it.
1-29 and has shown next to nothing since joining current yard in hurdles and on the Flat this spring. Hard to recommend on the back of a 13L defeat last time at Redcar, despite 5lb drop.
Forecasts
Alfred Richardson (15/8), Yorkee Mo Sabee (7/2), George Reme (4/1), Make On Madam (5/1), Beadlam (9/1), Tellovoi (12/1), Marbooh (14/1), Dylan's Storm (50/1)
Alfred Richardson is unexposed and may be able to progress further today, so win would not surprise. However, MAKE ON MADAM loves this place and these conditions and, while we know her capabilities, she is likely to give her running and with a claimer up she has got the ability to win from this mark. Marbooh still has a bit to prove on turf but could fight out the minors along with George Reme.
- Make On Madam
- Alfred Richardson
- George Reme
