Overcame a seven month absence to win on her debut this year (tongue-tie in for the first time) at Goodwood showing improved form. Yard do well enough with their handicap debutantes but are 2/3 with that type here and it looks interesting that they bring her here for her handicap debut.
Hard to think that there is much improvement to come as she has had ten runs already but has shown that she is up to making an impression off this mark this year. Should make a decent fist of things but may be a little vulnerable to an improver.
Showed her best form this year with back-to-back wins over a mile at Pontefract and Redcar going from the front on both occasions. Failed to get home over a 2f further trip at York last time and will be happier back over this distance although she still has to prove that she can win off this mark which is a career high.
Well below form in four starts this year (all in handicaps) on the AW and looked to be unsuited by the 6f trip last time out. Goes back up a little in trip here but would need to have shown more this season to be of interest.
Progressing with every run this year this one remains a maiden but looked up to winning a race like this after her last run at Beverley. May well have had the run of that race but did only get beaten by one that could well be ahead of their mark and only negative here would be a contested pace.
Forecasts
Contentment (13/8), Miss Sheridan (11/4), Seduce Me (10/3), Whatsthemessage (15/2), Greenview Paradise (10/1)
William Haggas doesn’t send may of his handicap debutantes this way but when he does it generally pays to take notice and CONTENTMENT looks to have a decent chance here of following up her Goodwood win. Seduce Me is solid at this level without having too much obvious improvement left in her and a dropped in trip Miss Sheridan and the mildly progressive Greenview Paradise look to be the main dangers.
- Contentment
- Greenview Paradise
- Miss Sheridan
